My New Years Eve Cocktail Recipe

Oh god, all the things I can say about 2020, all the things I can write and curse about, but no not today guys. Today let’s be hopeful, let’s be grateful, let’s make it count.

Today I am super grateful that my husband and I have a job and stayed healthy during the first year of this pandemic. I am also very VERY grateful that I got to partner and collaborate with some amazing people as well as brands that I truly love and that’s because of all of YOU readers, thank you SO MUCH!

Today’s recipe is one you’ll enjoy especially today, the last day of 2020. This is the second collaboration with my favorite bartender, Luka Drca (from The Office by The Alinea Group) and yes, it is obviously a special cocktail.

This drink is a celebratory one, it is easy to master and I’m sure it’ll stay with you for years to come!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 dashes of angostura bitters.

  • 1/2 oz cognac.

  • 1 oz amaretto liquor.

  • Champagne, cold!

  • A small lemon swirl to garnish, optional.

PREPARATION

  1. Use a glass full of ice and mix the angustura bitters, cognac and amaretto really quick.

  2. Pour the mixture into a champagne flute and top it with champagne.

  3. Add the lemon garnish and serve right away!

We don’t have a name for this cocktail yet so all suggestions are welcome. Cheers! Here’s to a better new year for all!
