Hi there!
Quick update: So it’s been a couple of months now since we moved to Arizona and apparently our apartment is ready to go now. So far I’ve been trying to adjust to the city, you know, finding the right supermarket, restaurants, luckily the complex gym is awesome so I got that covered, and so on.
Moving on, you know how much I love easy breakfasts from Monday-Friday so today’s recipe is something that I’ve been doing religiously for the last couple of weeks and so far it’s been working amazing. I’m sure you’ve heard of this before because this food is almost all over the country now but I wanted to share my take on this with all of you.
Today I have for you myProtein Banana & Acai bowl. Acai is a Brazilian berry that’s full of fiber, protein, vitamin C, Calcium, Vitamin A and many amino acids; if you haven’t tried to add this berry into your diet, I STRONGLY recommend it, you will notice positive changes very soon when it comes to energy levels as well as the toilet business (if you know what I mean).
Ingredients (Serves 1 bowl)
1 tablespoon of Acai powder (I’m using Terrasoul Superfoods here, as soon as I have another recommendation I’ll let you know).
1 teaspoon of hemp seeds.
1 tablespoon of almond butter.
1 scoop of protein powder (I’m using VEGA, which is by far my favorite of all time).
1 frozen banana.
3 frozen strawberries.
10 frozen blackberries.
1/3 cup almond milk (I always use vanilla unsweetened milk).]
Preparation (2 minutes)
Just put everything into your blender and mix until you get a smooth paste, almost ice cream like.
Serve in a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings and when it comes to toppings I always go straight to the fiber department so more hemp seeds and almonds work just perfect!
Before we go, just a couple of tips:
I always buy fresh fruit and keep them in ziplock bags in the freezer. Specially bananas!
You can substitute strawberries for mango or any other fruit. I use banana as a base to get the creamy texture I like and I'm sure you will love too.
Thank you and enjoy!
